The 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition is the last opportunity to buy a new Evo model, at least with the sedan body style.

Mitsubishi will build 1,600 units for the US market, each priced from $37,995 (excluding destination). Besides the styling tweaks, the limited edition model features a slightly more powerful turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder 2.0-liter engine rated at 303hp at 6,500 rpm and 305lb-ft (413Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm.

Combine these numbers with the 5-speed manual transmission, the Super All-Wheel control system, lightweight two-piece Brembo brake rotors, Bilstein shock absorbers and Eibach springs and driving fun is a given.

It’s quite sad that the Lancer Evolution story comes to an end, especially since future Evo models could be hybrid SUVs. As a sign of how special the Final Edition is, Mitsubishi has released a video showing how it is built at its Mizushima plant in Japan. Enjoy!
