The quick and capable Peugeot 308 GTi looks very well-equipped to handle a convoy of bad guys trying to get their hands on you.
Why is it that the bad guys always have to be driving black cars? Whether it’s a movie or a car commercial, it’s always the same old story with a couple of black SUVs trying to gun you down. Of course, this time things are a little bit different…in a weird way.
Apart from the SUVs, the 308 GTi is also being chased by a couple of 1980’s Camaros which don’t exactly meet up with a happy ending. The stunts are pretty well made, overall, but a little ridiculous in nature. For example, that parking garage jump was beyond silly and what’s the deal with the pet monkey anyway?
Beyond that, if we were to just focus on the 308 GTi’s specs, we’ll probably be adequately impressed with this car’s getaway capabilities. With 270 PS and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal, the fastest 308 GTi model (there’s also a 250 PS version) can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 6 seconds flat, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
The 308 GTi 270 also comes with an exclusive two-tone design, featuring Ultimate Red and Nera Black – which do turn this already cool hot hatchback into something that will grab your attention.
Besides, this car is particularly adept at running away from villains in black SUVs who can’t drive well – which may not be included in its brochure, but some owners might still find it very useful, probably. Who knows?
