Former Dortmund superstar coach Jurgen Klopp might have changed clubs recently, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to give up driving an Opel Insignia. Though with a Vauxhall badge from now on.

Vauxhall also happens to be an ‘Official UK Car Partner’ of Liverpool FC, and Klopp has been an Opel ambassador for some time now, joining other celebrities such as Byran Adams and Claudia Schiffer. Vauxhall did however get creative with the newly appointed Liverpool manager, coming up with catchy slogans such as: “Jurgen Klopp may have changed clubs but not his car” or “You’ll never drive alone”.

While promoting Opel, Klopp was credited with boosting the Insignia’s sales by 35% in 2014 – which makes him a pretty valuable ally for the German manufacturer.

Now that he’s working in England, Klopp will have more than just Football on his mind, as he’s going to have to master driving a right-hand drive car on the left side of the road. Trying to figure out who you start between Sturridge and Benteke might look like a cinch compared to switching sides in the car as well as lanes.

It may also be safe to assume that he’s not driving an entry-level version either, which means that the Insignia Elite Nav version (top of the line under VXR) might be our best guess as far as what he’ll be most frequently seen in.

Rory Harvey, Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors said that “Klopp knows our business, he’s a car man and he most recently supported us at the Frankfurt Motor Show as we launched the all-new Brit built Astra. It’s great for both Opel and Vauxhall that he’s driving a Vauxhall Insignia and we wish him the best of luck at Liverpool Football Club.”

Vauxhall’s official deal with Liverpool Football Club is set to run the entire length of the 2015-2016 season.
