Even though Tesla just rolled out the latest software update for its cars, Elon Musk is offering insights about the future.
As Autopilot features are progressively enabled over time with various improvements to the software, the next major release will apparently include “Autopilot Parking” as well.
The greatest thing about modern cars is that they can be “retrofitted” with new options via a simple software update. Elon Musk – the American car manufacturer’s CEO – once again announced Tesla’s future plans on Twitter, saying that the Version 7.1 software will feature the much coveted “Autopilot Parking”.
Musk confirmed this aspect by giving positive answers to some of his Twitter followers, guaranteeing that the Version 7.1 operating system will include self-parking (without the need of a driver in the automobile).
Tesla Model S regularly receives “over-the-air” software updates that add new features and functionality to the automobiles, but we can safely assume that the recently-launched Model X will also benefit from these upgrades.
