Even if the most radical modern Bugatti ever made is destined for the digital world, it was conceived to perform in the real one.
The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is a concept-car developed to take part in the most challenging, virtual racing events in the Gran Turismo 6 video game. Like many other Vision GT models constructed by diverse car manufacturers before it, Bugatti’s own “Vision” of the ultimate racing machine was enhanced with the help of Polyphony Digital – Sony’s internal video game developer.
And, like we stated before, the amount of energy and expertise that went into this particular machine is outstanding, as it was thoroughly engineered to make sense in the real world – especially on the Circuit de la Sarthe.
So, if you wish to feel how a modern-day, ultimate, real (with emphasis on “real”) super-Bugatti feels like, you have a chance to drive it, as it’s really based on the French car maker’s engineering excellence, on its aerodynamic research and on existing racing technology. But don’t take our word for it, as you can watch the guys behind the project walk you through its conception in the video below.
This car is a proper thoroughbred racer, and the sound it makes is just incredible; in fact, it sounds just like a quad-turbo W16 raw, racing engine should sound. Every feature, every cut and every crease you see on its complex bodywork is function driven, being the perfect symbiosis between state-of-the-art technology and aesthetics.
Speaking of which, the purebred Bugatti DNA can be found and understood in its futurist lines, especially when the design team breaks down its philosophy and explains it.
