While this drag race shouldn’t even be close with all things being equal, this heavily-tuned RS7 is packing APR Stage 2 mods raising its power output to 700 horses.
Even so, you’d be right to say that the more powerful and lighter Ferrari F12 should be the obvious winner here. It’s got 741 PS to go with 690 Nm (508 lb-ft) of torque, while weighing in at 1,705 kg (3,758 lbs). In comparison, the Audi is down on pretty much everything, except for this one little detail we’ll discuss shortly.
In terms of acceleration, the F12 can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.1 seconds, which is also a heck of a lot better than the standard RS7’s 3.9 second sprint time. Speaking of the RS7, it’s got 560 PS and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque straight “out of the box”.
The thing is, this car isn’t straight out of the box, and while it’s still not as powerful as the Ferrari, the fact that it’s already matching its torque even when stock, can only make you imagine how much pulling power it’s got now thanks to the APR Stage 2 tune.
And no, unfortunately we don’t have any official numbers for this car in particular, but GoAPR’s website does indicate that it might have around 927 Nm (684 lb-ft) at its disposal. Now that’s a lot of torque helping the AWD Audi hold a more powerful and lighter Ferrari at bay – which is exactly what we see in the video.
After it’s done with the Ferrari, the APR-tuned RS7 goes on to race another…nearly identical car, but that one we won’t spoil.
