If you live Down Under and reckon your LS3-powered Holden or HSV needs a little more grunt, then Walkinshaw Performance is more than happy to oblige.

With over 45-years in motorsports, these guys seem experienced enough to offer a stupendous performance boost for the Aussie muscle-cars. And, in fact, that’s exactly what they’re doing with the w547 package, specifically made for the 6.2-litre V8 LS3 mill.

Aimed at the 2015 VFII 6.2-litre and 2012 – 2015 HSV 6.2-litre vehicles, the package – as its name suggest – offers a final power output of 547 kW and 880 Nm of torque, which is a lot. 733 hp and…880 Nm (649 lb-ft), to be more specific. Walkinshaw Performance say it’s “by far the most powerful enhancement available for a Commodore” they ever made – and there’s no reason to doubt them – mostly because it puts the Australian model in a league of its own – as team owner Charlie Schwerkolt commented:

“The Walkinshaw name is famous both on and off the track; and their team have used their background in motorsport to deliver the highest level of aftermarket modifications. This is the newest and most powerful Walkinshaw Performance package ever made, and the lucky customers who purchase one of these upgrades will have more power at their hands than what is experienced in our race car.”

The performance package has been developed and engineered to meet the exact standards of quality that would be expected from an Original Equipment Manufacturer, and it includes a WP230 Supercharger, large high-flow injectors, water-to-air intercooler package, camshaft and valve spring upgrade, ceramic coated headers, dual active cat-back exhaust and the list can go on and on forever.

The first 50 customers willing to spend their hard earned bucks on Walkinshaw’s expertise will receive a special “launch edition” of the package, which includes a unique yellow WP230 supercharger and an invitation to attend a ride day in a genuine V8 Supercar. Pricing for this incredible power-boost is AUD 25,990 (USD 18,845) supplied and fitted.
