The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Convertible is coming to go up against the BMW 4-Series Cabriolet.

The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Convertible will be the fourth model in the C-Class range, after the sedan, the estate and the coupe. It will ride on the same platform as these and use a similar mix of six- and eight-cylinder gasoline engines, along with four-cylinder gasoline and diesel-engines.

The open-top version of the will probably come in three versions in North America, including the C300, with a 2.0-liter unit rated at 245 PS (242 HP), the C450, with a bi-turbo V6 producing 367 PS (362 HP), and the C63 AMG range-topper using the 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, in two versions, with 476 PS (469 HP) in the AMG and 510 PS (503 HP), in the AMG S.

The new-gen Mercedes-Benz C-Class Convertible is expected to debut in 2016 and the first examples should arrive next summer.
