Even though the BMW 3-Series is a capable (even driver-focused) executive automobile, it’s not the kind of car to get noticed in a car park. That’s if AC Schnitzer doesn’t tinker with it…
Gearing up for the Essen Tuning Show, the German tuner garnished the brand-new BMW 3-Series LCI with a fresh new look to go with its sharp style and maneuverability.
So, it comes as no surprise to learn that AC Schnitzer’s own sporty package appeals to the driver enthusiast by offering either a fully height- adjustable suspension with adjustable compression and rebound settings, which lowers the 3-series by around 30 – 40 mm, or a fully-fledged sports suspension which slams the car lower to the ground by 25 – 30 mm at the front and 20 – 25 mm at the rear.
Complementing the car’s stance is, of course, the new body-kit which sports a subtle appearance (including a revised front splitter, carbon mirror covers, rear roof spoiler and rear spoiler into the mix), but emphasizes the 3-Series dynamic traits.
But the best thing about AC Schnitzer’s creation is the entire bundle appeals to a wide variety of BMW 3-Series owners. The package isn’t exclusive to the high-end powertrains, but instead stretches throughout the entire line-up, lending itself to petrol and diesel animated variants as well. The performance upgrades for the petrol-engine models deliver between 201 HP (for the 316i) and 355 HP (for the 335i), while the diesel units pump out between 137 HP and 354 HP
