Taking a Ferrari 488 GTB and turning it into a true “beast” is not for everyone, especially since the supercar is extremely powerful in stock form. However, Alpha-N Performance thinks that the Italian exotic needs some extra oomph and this leads to some impressive performance figures.

After the tuning company does its thing on the Ferrari 488 GTB’s 3.9-liter twin turbo V8, output is boosted from 670 PS (662 HP) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) of torque to 790 PS (779 HP) and 860 Nm (634 lb-ft) respectively. These figures are achieved just by tweaking the ECU.

The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time hasn’t been announced for the modified 488 GTB but let’s not forget that the stock one needs just 3.0src to do it and it can reach a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).

The aftermarket car specialist says the “EVOX” upgrade can be installed by its own mechanics or, if you’re up to it, by any “competent DIY enthusiast”. Alpha-N Performance is charging €2,999 for the “plug & play”, which will make the 488 GTB more powerful than hotter models such as the Lamborghini Aventador SV or Ferrari’s very own F12tdf.

This isn’t the first time tuners decided to take on the 458 Italia’s successor – just earlier in the day, Novitec Rosso pulled the wraps off its very own upgrade.
