The hotel which became famous for Jeremy Clarkson’s notorious ‘fracas’ incident, installed a commemorative plaque on the very spot where it all happened.
Simonstone Hall in Yorkshire posted on their Facebook page a photo of the plaque that reads: “Here lies the BBC career of Jeremy Clarkson. Who had a fracas on this spot 4th March 2015. The rest is legend.”
The hotel said in their post that they “were presented with this plaque from one of our guests last night! We think it would be quite appropriate to put it on the patio where the fracas took place!!”
Jeremy Clarkson is currently working on a new show for Amazon, along with James May and Richard Hammond. The new show will reportedly debut with their group test of the three hypercars from Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche on the Portimao circuit.
Rumors that Top Gear fans have already started gathering at the hotel for pilgrimage are believed to be untrue.
