Monaco is one of the best places out there for supercar-spotting and the newest exotic ride captured on camera in the famous F1 tunnel is a Mercedes-SLS AMG, modified by Hamann.
The German ride may have stopped production a few years back, leaving room for the smaller, less powerful and more affordable AMG GT, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not hot anymore. In fact, videos like this one prove that the SLS still has what it needs in order to be up there with other supercars.
The Hawk upgrade made by Hamann for the SLS came out in 2011 and, thanks to the remapped ECU, the V8 engine received extra oomph, producing 636 PS (627 HP), compared to the stock model’s 571 PS (563 HP). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 3.6 seconds, compared to the 3.8sec of the standard car, and top speed is 320 km/h (199 mph).
The tuner also offers a coilover kit, developed specifically for the Hawk, equipped with four height-adjustable dampers and four progressively wound springs, allowing the car to be lowered by 30 mm.
