Jaguar North America announced it will be expanding the price range on the F-Type lineup for next year, in order to include new entry-level coupe & convertible models, priced at $61,400 and $65,400 respectively.
Despite that, Jaguar’s 2017 line-up will go on to feature the F-Type, F-Type S and the top of the range F-Type R model, while the price reduction will serve to improve the car’s competitive value, as will the increased standard equipment levels.
Speaking of which, the F-Type continues to boast rich standard features such as the Meridian 770W surround sound system, sat-nav, SiriusXM satellite radio, leather and suede cloth sport seats, plus Jaguar InControl Apps.
In 2017, every F-Type as well as every Jaguar model will come with standard Jaguar EliteCare coverage – a best-in-class ownership package offering a new limited warranty with complimentary maintenance, roadside assistance as well as Jaguar’s Protect & Remote service for 5-years or 60,000 miles.
Other standard features include a ‘valet mode’ and solar attenuating windshield glass, overall providing the customer with about $1,700 in savings over the previous model year F-Type.
On the road, the new entry-level model will feature a supercharged 340 HP 3.0-liter V6 engine, coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission, while base models with rear-wheel drive and automatic transmission will also be available.
