The new GT was the star at Ford’s stand at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show, where the Βlue Οval displayed its supercar in red with white stripes.

The “Liquid Red”-painted GT was presented to Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, by rally and drift star Ken Block, as part of Ford’s strategy to introduce at least 30 new models in the Middle East and North Africa by 2020.

The third-gen Ford GT will be produced in a limited number; just 250 units annually and, in total, less than the 4,000 examples of its predecessor. The figures have yet to be confirmed, but reportedly just 100 will be available in the U.S. and a mere 20 to the UK each year. This will make it a rare beast indeed…

The supercar is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with an output of “more than 600 HP (609 PS)” in Ford’s words and, according to rumors, up to 700 HP (710 PS). The model is believed to go on sale in late 2016 and carry an price tag of around $370,000 (£240,000).
