The Mitsubishi Motors press conference for the LA show will take place on November 18th with the company to pull the wraps off two “world debuts”. The Japanese brand made the announcement in a teaser image released on its website and, despite not talking about two exact models, we already know what they will be.
At this point, we can tell you that these two are a new generation / facelift of the Outlander Sport, or ASX, as it is also known, and an updated Space Star / Mirage. The two vehicles aren’t that visible at this point and this makes sense since we are talking about a teaser image.
However, we can notice a slightly updated front fascia and the same side profile on the crossover along with the same character lines posed by the B-segment car so what Mitsubishi is basically doing is offering a facelifted Mirage and a revamped Outlander Sport, according to the official page of the event. Keep in mind that the next-gen ASX / Outlander Sport is going to have a lot in common with the eX concept, shown recently, and it will also get an electric version.
The automaker is currently keeping things into the shadows with the two upcoming models so the best way to finding out what they will actually be all about is to wait for the L.A. Auto Show to open its gates, in a couple of weeks, and to stay tuned for live coverage from the event.
