Following its online reveal earlier this week, the new generation of the Kia Cadenza was recently spotted on public roads in South Korea.

Known as the K7 in its local market, the new 2017 Cadenza is expected to remain mostly unchanged in terms of design when it will arrive in US and European markets, although it may differ in technical specifications.

The car brings a new front fascia, highlighted by the new Kia “tiger-nose” grille and Z-shaped LED daytime running lights. The automaker used words like “muscular” to describe the fenders while there’s a less sloping roofline than the one seen in the teaser images.

The rear end is brand new as well and brings new taillights, with a chrome strip surrounding and joining them together, along with a dual-exhaust setup.

The official photos showed a “3.3” badge, so we may be looking at the new 3.3-liter twin-turbo engine, made by the Hyundai-Kia Group, or possible, a hybrid unit, which is rumored to make its way into the car.

We’ll know for sure when final specifications of the 2017 Cadenza / K7 are released in the coming months.
