Following last week’s teaser, W Motors revealed their latest creation called Fenyr Supersport at the Dubai Motor Show, a hypercar that will sit below their Lycan Hypersport.
The new Fenyr Supersport is using a twin-turbo 4.0-litre Porsche RUF flat six engine mated to a seven-speed double clutch gearbox, “delivering from 900hp and 1200Nm (885 lb ft) of torque”. That might mean that the Fenyr Supersport will offer different power outputs at the flick of a button, possibly offering up to 1000hp or more. W Motors claims less than 2.7 seconds for the standard 0-62mph (0-100km/h) procedure and a top speed that exceeds 400km/h (248mph).
The new hypercar is built upon a lightweight aluminum chassis with a bodywork made out of carbon-fibre and will be limited to 25 units per year, making it slightly less exclusive than the Lycan Hypersport, of which only seven examples were produced.
W Motors collaborated with many international partners to make the Fenyr a reality, including Magna Steyr and RUF.
Given that the less powerful 780hp Lycan Hypersport had the enormous price tag of $3.4million, partly because of the real, encrusted diamonds in its headlights and the trick holographic display, features that are absent from the Fenyr, we would expect a lower starting price. W Motors has not shared any details on the pricing strategy though, so we have to wait and see.
