Mazda will officially pull the wraps off the new CX-9 next week, at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show. The company released the first teaser image with the model and we already know that it will be offered for sale in the United States.
A Mazda spokesman recently confirmed with us that the SUV “will be available in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and Saudi Arabia, mainly the markets where the current CX-9 sold”. This means that, like its predecessor, it won’t make it to Europe or Japan.
The new generation of the SUV will be heavily inspired by the Koeru Concept. Besides this, the model will also get the latest iteration of the KODO design language, along with the newest SKYACTIV technologies. It will accommodate up to seven passengers in its three rows of seats, though further details are still unknown.
