Nissan has released the all-new 2016 Titan XD back in at the Detroit Auto Show, and we think it’s about time to see the pick-up in action.
In their latest release of the Truckumentary – a short web series dedicated for the big truck – Nissan’s Arizona Test Center took the Titan on Montana Mountain, a great off-road location, where the car manufacturer tests its four-wheel-drive vehicles.
The ninth episode of the series shows the Titan XD in action, as Nissan’s Durability team puts it through its paces. Moreover, the movie features the Arizona Davis Dam driving scene, which allows engineers to test the truck’s ability to tow heavy loads under high heat and at a serious incline, making sure the Titan achieves the industry standards.
Mind you, the video depicts a light style of testing and presentation, instead of going for the full-aggressive, car-bashing manner, but the Arizona ecosystem still looks challenging and hard to conquer for a stock-grade, production automobile.
The Titan XD can be offered with three powertrains, including the Cummins 5.0-liter V8 turbo diesel, which boasts 310hp and 555lb-ft (752 Nm) of torque and is capable of towing 12,000 lbs (5,443 kg) – Nissan actually dedicated an entire episode for the mill and truck.
