Novitec Rosso is one of the hardcore, top-of-the-line tuners out there, and yet this 488 GTB looks rather tamed.
But that’s only because the mid-engine, turbocharged Ferrari previews the German tuner’s intentions; that said, if we were to judge what kind of monstrous machines usually come out from Novitec’s lair, then this particular 488 GTB is the true definition of “the calm before the storm”.
So, even though it looks like an ordinary “Giallo Modena” 488 GTB sporting two types of humongous rims (probably at the same time for this particular photoshoot), Novitec hints that the automobile has a few aces up its sleeves.
The video with the beast, entitled “Ferrari 488 GTB Stage 1”, denotes that the tuning house probably has lightly tuned the 3.9-litre V8, while the brief engine revving could indicate a custom-made exhaust system.
Either way, it’s only a matter of time before we see a Novitec-signed Ferrari 488 GTB with its power through the roof. And that’s the beauty of forced-induction engines; they can be tweaked with ease to deliver more performance and scare everybody with their power output. Can you imagine what kind of numbers Novitec can squeeze out of the 488?
