Seeing a supercar that travelled more than 1 million km (621,371 miles) throughout its entire lifetime is unheard of; but this is not your average Zonda, it’s Prototype 2.
It started life back in 199, as a Zonda C12 and was equipped with the first version of the 6.0-liter M120 engine. At the time, the V12 developed 394 PS (388 HP) and it allowed the model to reach a top speed of more than 330 km/h (205 mph). Pagani eventually updated it to the C12-S 7.0 too and, over the years, it was used by company to develop components for all models, except the “R”, until the 760 came out.
Since it is the oldest Zonda in existence, the workers nicknamed it “La Nonna”, Italian for “grandmother”. Moreover, after a long and hard life, the exotic model was fully restored for Horacio Pagani’s 60th birthday. It is now in its original configuration, except for some tweaks inspired by the Zonda Cinque.
With the gorgeous silver color covering its body, the visible carbon fiber parts, the Italian flag running across its entire length and a red interior, this Zonda is on display in the old factory showroom and will be showcased in the future museum.
