Regardless of what car you had in driving school or what car your parents or friends might have let you drive from time to time, odds are you’ll always take your final exam on something that’s definitely not a Porsche 911.
Before we go after the authenticity of this video, we could just appreciate it for what it is and agree to say that in many and perhaps most cases, such a car would definitely intimidate most rookie drivers. Having said that, there’s clearly something fishy going on here.
Specifically, it’s that girl that manages to powerslide for brief moment after the instructor tells her to go a little faster. If she really did keep the car from over-steering into a 180-spin, then kudos to her, but when it comes to these types of videos, the benefit of the doubt tends to stay put.
The rest of the students do seem genuinely impressed, intimidated and clueless when first seeing the car and trying to figure out what goes where. But again, did they really not know where the 911’s engine bay is? The key on the left side of the steering wheel thing we can understand, but the engine thing is a little ridiculous.
However we do believe that it’s easy to stick the 911 into Reverse instead of Drive if it’s the first time you’ve ever driven an automatic and you’re forced to do it while you’re really stressed out about your surroundings.
As for the parallel parking scene, that was pretty brutal for those kids since that view from above revealed just how tight it was. In fact, plenty of experienced Porsche owners would have probably not bothered with trying to stick their 911 in such a small place.
What do you think, fake or plausible?
