Volvo Cars UK has announced the introduction of the XC90 R-Design, which comes with an updated exterior and added features.
The black mesh front grille, silver-effect side mirrors, tinted rear windows and 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels distinguish the premium SUV in this trim.
The cabin adds a 12.3-inch TFT active driver’s info display, updated lighting, perforated leather-trimmed steering wheel with paddle shifters, sports pedals, electric front passenger seat with memory function just like the driver’s seat and black headliner, along with an exclusive R-Design leather-clad remote key fob.
These come on top of the already available features on the standard entry-level XC90 Momentum, which include the Sensus Navigation, 9-inch touch screen control, two-zone climate control with the Volvo’s CleanZone air quality system, power-operated tailgate with handsfree opening and LED headlights.
The City Safety comes at no extra cost, featuring front collision warning with full-auto brake, pedestrian and cyclist detection.
Volvo says that R-Design models get the standard Adjustable Steering Force and Drive Mode Settings, allowing drivers to choose from different settings for the steering, transmission, engine and optional air suspension.
The Volvo XC90 R-Design starts from £49,785 OTR ($75,081) in the UK and is available with the D5 diesel, T6 petrol or the T8 Twin Engine petrol-electric hybrid.
