Chevrolet has sold more than 1,4 million vehicles with 4G LTE connectivity since June 2014, including more than 500,000 trucks.
In this segment, the Silverado is Chevy’s crown jewel. So, for 2016 it comes with OnStar 4G LTE connectivity and, according to the company, offers best-in-class fuel economy, horsepower and towing.
These are probably some of the reasons why it’s the only ruck currently sold in the US that’s even remotely keeping up with the Ford F-Series in terms of sales.
The first of the three “Real People, Not Actors” campaign for the new Silverado is The “Mobile Office” and it touches on one of its biggest selling points, namely technology. Chevrolet owners have consumed more than 1.4 million GB of data since June 2014, which is equivalent to 1.5 million hours of streaming HD video, 48 million hours of streaming music or 2.9 billion social media posts involving images. That’s some serious traffic right there.
“The spot illustrates just one aspect of the connectivity Chevrolet offers our owners”, said Paul Edwards, marketing VP for Chevrolet. “Based on usage rates for features such as OnStar, 4G LTE, and RemoteLink, Chevrolet’s technologies deliver real-world benefits for our customers – and are a competitive advantage for our brand.”
Probably the best of the new promotional material for the Silverado is the “Best in Class V8” video, which ends with a twist. That’s just us, though, so you can obviously check them out and decide for yourselves.
