It seems like Renault’s new trend of crossover-like MPVs is about to continue when their all-new Scenic comes out next year.
Since Renault launched the Espace, they’ve managed to keep it competitive against rivals such as the S-Max and Ford Galaxy in terms of sales, though not so much against the SEAT Alhambra and VW Sharan.
That being said, we’re actually hoping that the new Scenic will share as many design elements as possible with the Espace, despite the fact that all we could make out from recent spy shots were the sleek yet compact design.
In terms of size and form, this rendering seems pretty accurate, as it correctly reproduces the grille and potential headlight design. There is a slight question mark in the front fascia department as we’re unable to tell if the car will indeed have Megane or Talisman-like headlights instead of simpler ones like the Espace.
The overall shape of the car sort of reminds us of the Citroen C4 Picasso, which also has a modern design and gives off a surprisingly compact vibe. Hopefully the new Scenic will look stylish and be roomy and practical as well.
