The new Alfa Romeo Giulia sparked the imagination of many after its official unveil earlier this year, and, since then, we have seen it in a lot of different renderings.
The new rival for the BMW M3, Mercedes-AMG C63 S, Cadillac ATS-V and others in the segment has an appealing design, screaming “Italian” through its lines, and, since it’s an important model for Alfa, image manipulators have rendered a lot of versions.
The latest is signed by Rain Prisk Designs and it shows the new high-performance mid-sized Alfa in the most unusual of body styles: a pickup truck. The vehicle has the same looks for its front fascia, but the added plastic body cladding makes it more rugged; and will surely have Alfa fans screaming “heresy”!
Things change dramatically towards the back end because the roof was chopped and the rear doors were removed, making roof for a practical bed. Last but not least, the suspension was significantly lower and a new set of wheels was added.
Dear Alfisti, you can relax: it’s just an unusual take on the long-awaited saloon. It won’t happen. FCA boss Sergio Marchionne has done lots of things, but he’s not suicidal. We think.
