A classic Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has found a new home, after its new owner paid $28,300 for it.

This American classic started life back in 1969, when it was produced, and it was recently transferred to Carolina Muscle Cars, where it was cleaned up, returned to running order and offered for sale on eBay.

The Corvette Convertible was purchased at Peter J. Grady Chevrolet, in Sayville, NY, when it was new, and two weeks after its delivery, it was taken back to the dealership, where it received a new engine.

It stayed with its first owner until 1975, when it was purchased by Richard Bonati, who had it in his possession for approximately 40 years. The barn find remained with its second owner until recently, when he sold it to Carolina Muscle Cars, and the rest is history.

The sports car has the big block V8 L71 under its hood, connected to a 4-speed manual transmission. It wears the Riverside Gold color on its body and comes with a black interior, while its odometer shows 52,435 miles (84386km).
