A quarter mile race is more than enough to prove the main differences between a hypercar and a supercar, but is it really the case here?

A new video uploaded on YouTube shows a Lamborghini Huracan taking on a more expensive, rarer and more powerful Porsche 918 Spyder, on the drag strip, and while on paper, the German exotic is way faster, the result may surprise you in the real world.

Before checking out the footage, we will remind you that both models have all-wheel drive, but the 918 uses a hybrid powertrain with a V8 and electric motors, which produce 900 PS (887hp) and 1,280 Nm (940lb-ft) of torque. The hypercar needs just 2.5sec to reach 100 km/h (62mph) from a standstill and it can go up to a limited top speed of 350 km/h (217mph).

The LP610-4 on the other hand has a 5.2-liter V10, capable of sending 610 PS (602hp) and 560 Nm (413lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. The 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) acceleration takes just 3 seconds and top speed stands at 325 km/h (202mph).

Even though nothing was mentioned by the poster, we’re not entirely sure if the Lamborghini was completely stock.
