Compared with the GTS variant, the regular BMW M4 suffers from a performance disadvantage and loses the battle on style as well. Luckily, Carbonfiber Dynamics stepped into the picture and addressed the latter with a Japanese 3DDesign body-kit.
Even though under the hood lies the same inline-six, 3.0-litre engine, developing 425 hp and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque, this particular example bears a unique visual style that separates it from the rest of the pack.
Truth be told, the fresh body-kit puts the car a step further than its angrier, track-oriented sibling, but it remains a matter of taste and we’ll let the onlooker to decide whether the revised aspect suits the vehicle better than BMW’s own take on the matter.
As you’d expect, the restyled front and rear apron – integrated into the bumpers – as well as the side skirts, are made from carbon fiber; in fact, every bit of this new body-kit is made out of the composite material, contributing to aggressive overall look with its partially-painted finish. To top it off, the visual mods were constructed with performance and weight saving in mind, as the rear spoiler on the trunk (for example) increases downforce.
3DDesign is distributing its products in Europe through Carbonfiber Dynamics, so it comes as no surprise to learn that this entire project was assembled to promote the Japanese company on the Old Continent.
Sitting on 3DDesign rims, the BMW M4 has also has the whole exhaust system and some subtle interior components from 3DDesign, as the tuning specialist from the Land of the Rising Sun, apparently promised to develop and expand the product line around the German car manufacturer constantly.
