The 458 Speciale is a dying breed, since it bears Ferrari’s last naturally aspirated V8, so buying one for just a little over $69,000 may seem like the deal of the century.

As you can see there is a catch, because this particular example is far away from being in a mint condition. The supercar was involved in a crash, a few months back, in Johannesburg, South Africa, after its driver lost control of the wheel and hit a wall.

The good news is that no one was injured in the accident, but the the supercar will need a serious makeover in order to return to its former glory as it is missing its entire front fascia, right wheel assembly and driver’s side door. It also has a broken windshield and deployed airbags. On top of that, the seller says that the 4.5-liter V8 engine does not start anymore, due to the damaged ECU.

Anyone interested in obtaining and repairing this 458 Speciale should know that, besides the damaged body, the seller also offers the owner’s manual, reference guide booklet, warranty card booklet, leather pouch for booklets, one key marked, one trickle charger, toolset in vinyl bag, two spare rims and the Ferrari cover.

The crashed Prancing Horse is in a timed auction until December 10, and the starting bid is 1 million ZAR ($69,243.92).
