The word Ducati brings to mind a pack of angry, asphalt munching superbikes, waiting to prove themselves on the track.
Well, the times have changes and the company has stopped confining itself to a certain segment, for quite some time.
In fact, the Italian bike manufacturer just launched a web series that tells to story of the most adventurous Bologna-made multibike: the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro.
Powered by the well-known L-Twin cylinder (Ducati-speac for a V2) Testastretta DVT with Desmodromic Variable Timing, the Multistrada shares most of its mechanical bits with the “naked” Monster 1200 R, but it’s built with a completely different purpose in mind.
Chucking 160 hp and 136 Nm (100.3 lb-ft) of torque, it’s one hell of a runner and an excellent choice for adventuring on two wheels. Of course, its sheer amount of grunt – even though it weighs 232 kg (511 lb) – makes it a true, purebred Ducati.
Using a “The wild side of Ducati” tag, the motorcycle maker will broadcast this series exclusively on the internet.
The first episode depicts the bike coping with a motocross track in southern Italy, as well as Tuscany, Sardinia and Spain.
