After being spied testing on a number of occasions, it has been announced that the facelifted 2017 Ford Focus will debut at next month’s Detroit Auto Show 2016, specifically on January 11.
As we’ve come to expect with facelifted models from the world’s leading automakers, design changes to the new Fusion will be relatively minor. At the front, spy shots and leaks have revealed that the refreshed American sedan will adopt a modified front fascia, incorporating an enlarged grille, a different bumper, bespoke headlights and LED daytime running lights.
Also known as the Ford Mondeo throughout Europe, the Fusion initially hit the U.S. market as 2012 in its outgoing second-generation guise. It is reported that the Fusion’s sides will go unchanged and while we’ve yet to see clear images of the rear, there’s a good chance it will be tweaked to include modified tailpipes and new taillights.
Inside, the facelifted 2017 Fusion is tipped to adopt a new infotainment system alongside a selection of upgraded materials.
Arguably of most importance for the 2017 Fusion will be the introduction of an updated new plug-in hybrid variant, dubbed the Fusion Energi.
