Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo was at Infiniti Center Birmingham last Saturday in order to make one customer’s day very special.
While on deck for an informal Q&A session, the Red Bull star also made sure that Mr Sheng Zhao, a loyal Infiniti customer and big F1 fan, got the chance to ride shotgun in a Q30 with Daniel, of course, doing all the driving.
Mr Sheng Zhao, who had already placed an order for a Q30, said “I knew I was coming to see Daniel, as I love everything regarding Formula one. I was hoping to maybe get a signature, but to sit alongside him whilst driving around the streets of Birmingham in an Infiniti Q30 was quite something.”
He later added that the team at Infiniti Birmingham “always treat me exceptionally well but they have surpassed themselves today.” Yeah, to get the chance to meet an F1 driver and have him take you out for a spin in what’s basically your brand new car has to feel pretty incredible.
Daniel answered questions for nearly two hours at the Infiniti Center, where Team GB Athletics senior coach Fayyaz Ahmed tried to discover what it took for the Aussie driver to get to where he is today in terms of his success. After that, the audience got the chance to pick Daniel’s brain and have some of their Infiniti team caps signed.
Other special guests included Team GB athlete and Commonwealth high jump Silver Medalist Isobel Pooley and Marco Fassinotti who is currently ranked no.2 in the world for indoor high jump and no.5 for outdoor high jump.
