Produced between the mid-1940s and 1981, the Dodge Power Wagon has become unmistakable and garnered quite a cult following.
Recently, Jay Leno had the opportunity to drive and explore a classic Power Wagon but not just any example, rather one heavily modified and restored by Legacy Classic Trucks from Wyoming.
This particular example doesn’t only include a new Cummins 3.9-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, but has completely refreshed body panels making it look appear brand new.
In this case, looks are deceiving because it was actually manufactured in 1942. Yep, that’s a 73 year-old car…
While the Dodge Power Wagon may not be to everyone’s taste, like its the Ram that followed, and is certainly vastly different from most vehicles Leno drivers, the enthusiasm of Winslow Bent, the man who built it, seems to be infectious.
