It may seem as if the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS was only released a few days ago, but already, one of American’s leading tuning companies is working on a supercharger package for the muscle car.
Lingenfelter Performance has become synonymous for not just the wide array of tuning packages it offers but also the incredible car collection owned by its founder, Ken Lingenfelter. For the 2016 Camaro SS, they’re in the midst of finalising a supercharger kit which bolts on to the 6.2-liter V8 engine of the car.
Lingenfelter will offer the package to customers in 624 hp, 700 hp and 750 hp states of tune with all utilising a TVS2300 blower supplied by Edelbrock. At this stage, no further details about the package are available meaning we don’t yet know what other modifications will complement the supercharger.
No matter what those additional components are, the Lingenfelter Camaro SS should become the world’s fastest following its release, likely capable of quarter mile times faster than this Nitrous-aided 10.6 second Camaro SS.
