Clever marketing in the 3-pointed star’s newest video as the automaker has released it just in time for Christmas.
With “Silent Night” playing in the background in a “modern approach”, Mercedes-Benz is promoting the new generation of the C-Class with this fresh footage.
The protagonist is the C350e Plug-in Hybrid, which is demonstrating some of its features in an intelligent manner. “In the TV commercial ‘Silent Night’ the C-Class demonstrates its intelligent connection of petrol engine and electric motor in a snowy landscape with moody music. Mercedes-Benz and the C-Class send you Christmas Greetings“, the automaker says.
Mercedes offers the new C350e PHEV from €50,961.75 ($55,705) on its local market, in the four-door version, while the more practical Estate starts from €52,627.75 ($57,525), VAT included. The powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, rated at 208hp (211PS), a 6.38kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor.
The total output sent to the wheels through the standard 7-speed automatic transmission stands at 275hp (279PS) and 600Nm (442lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0-100km/h (62mph) acceleration in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 250kmh/ (155mph), in the sedan, while the Estate is slightly slower, withs 6.2sec and 246km/h (153mph) respectively.
