A Christmas card purportedly released by Bugatti shows the anticipated Chiron under covers.
“Season’s greetings from Bugatti, to be unwrapped in Geneva 2016” writes the card just above the “Chiron” name, with the hypercar featured in between, outlining its shape, with the muscular fenders and sloping roofline.
The design of the Veyron’s successor has been previewed in several scoops that ended up in the news these past few months, while it was reportedly shown to prospective buyers through a sketch during a number of private events.
The Bugatti Chiron is believed to be produced in just 500 units, all of them carrying an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine from the Veyron, upgraded to approximately 1,500PS (1,479hp) and 1,500Nm (1,107lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to the new output, the exotic should need just 2.3 seconds to reach 100km/h (62mph) from a standstill and go up to a top speed in the neighborhood of 435-450km/h (270-280mph).
Inspired by the Vision Gran Turismo Concept, the Bugatti Chiron will be officially presented to the public next March, during the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
