The blue oval’s mean machine is back with another video that might just be the hottest one yet.
Ford’s new clip shows several prototypes of the new GT in various tests conducted by the company throughout 2015, and, just as expected, its mid-mounted engine makes all the right sounds.
Ford will debut the brand new GT racer on January 8, before it appears at the 24 Hours of Daytona, at the end of the month. The model will make its European debut in April, 2016, at the 6 Hours of Silverstone, and it will compete in the Le Mans 24 Hours race as well.
These will not be the only competitions in which the track beast will be driven because the automaker plans to race it in the IMSA Sportscar Championship and in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
In the meantime, its road-legal sister should go on sale in late 2016. The supercar is said to be produced in just 250 units annually, with 100 available for the U.S. and 20 earmarked for the UK, every year. Each one is expected to cost approximately $370,000 (£240,000).
