Automakers have always played a major role at the annual Tokyo Auto Salon, with Nissan heading to the 2016 edition of Japan’s premiere tuning event with a flurry of modified models.
Nissan’s stand will host no less than 14 cars, including 13 customized versions of their production vehicles, plus the MOTUL AUTECH GT-R racer that won the series championship in the 2015 SUPER GT GT500 class.
The NISMO sub-brand will be represented by the X-Trail SUV (sold in North America as the Rogue) and Serena minivan featuring performance upgrades – though, it’s not clear from Nissan’s release if they will include power enhancements too, along with the GT-R NISMO N Attack Package and Note NISMO S.
Other vehicles on show will include the Leaf EV Aero Style, Sylphy S Touring, Dayz Bolero and Rider, and Elgrand Rider Black Line.
To 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon runs from January 15 to 17.
