Project Kahn is preparing something really special to display at the London Motor Show.
The Land Rover-specialized (among other brands) British tuning company just announced that it was commissioned to design a one-off, bespoke, ultimate Land Rover Defender by the London Motor Show.
Project Kahn has – for some years now – freshened up Land Rover’s old off-roader, making it look contemporary and crisp. In fact, by glancing at Kahn-branded Defenders, you wouldn’t think the model is on its last legs at Land Rover.
So, if there’s anybody’s up to the task of creating the ultimate Defender, it’s Kahn; but we’re extremely curious to see the final result, as we’re pretty sure the company has already created the ultimate Defender. Twice.
If the Flying Huntsman 6×6 or the Defender “Longnose” aren’t considered the zenith of the four-wheel-drive, off-road utility vehicle, developed from the original Land Rover Series, we don’t know what is. Still, this new model promises to be a blast, as Afzal Kahn explains:
“I have designed a vehicle that celebrates the history and unique personality of the Defender. My designs are known for their attention to detail, so I didn’t want this Defender to be any different. This is a fitting tribute to one of the world’s best loved vehicles and I would welcome feedback from Defender owners and enthusiasts alike who are welcome to visit my Kings Road boutique in Chelsea.”
That said, Project Kahn invites the British public to have their say on what additional feature would complement the one-off vehicle, while entries can be submitted on social media under the #UltimateDefender hashtag.
