When you consider how the Lamborghini Gallardo totally reinvented the company and gave it stability in the 21st century, replacing it was always going to prove difficult for Lamborghini. In late 2013 however, they released the more-than-adequate successor to the Gallardo, dubbed the Huracan.
Since that time, the popularity of the Huracan has helped push the Italian marque’s annual sales figures to unprecedented levels, with 3000 units pinned to have been sold by the end of 2015, easily a record.
Certainly one of the key selling points of the Huracan is its naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine. While its rivals, the McLaren 650S and most recently, the 488 GTB, use forced induction, the Huracan is one of the last n.a. supercars and offers something its turbocharged rivals simply can’t match; a high-revving engine that produces a characteristically Italian bark at low revs and a screaming howl when the throttle is pinned.
As with its sibling, the Aventador, the Lamborghini Huracan has proven particularly popular among the world’s leading tuning and wheel manufacturers and most recently, the crew from Wheel Experts finished work on an especially eye-catching Huracan.
Most significantly, it has been installed with a set of PUR wheels that are the LX10.V3 examples measuring 20×9 at the front and 21×12.5 at the rear. They are finished in both matte lumiere grey, matte black, gloss black and have bright red hardware. Additionally, the car has been installed with parts from PUR’s Huracan aerodynamic program, most notably with the custom front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser.
