Subaru of America is proving its continued popularity following the announcement of a new annual sales record.
In the first 11 months of the year, Subaru in the United States has sold more cars than it did in all of 2014, itself a record year with 513,693 vehicles sold. Impressively, the ongoing 2015 sales figures also mark the seventh successive sales record for Subaru as well as its eighth year of sales growth.
The key drivers behind Subaru sales in the U.S. this year have been the Crosstrek, Outback and Forester models which combined, have accounted for over 350,000 units. Additionally, the Japanese marque’s sedan models, consisting of the Legacy, Impreza and WRX/STI duo, have all celebrated year-to-date sales increases.
According to president and chief operating officer of Subaru of America Thomas J. Doll “We are delighted to be celebrating yet another record. Our continued growth is built on strong products and outstanding retailers providing a great customer experience.”
At last month’s Tokyo Motor Show, Subaru revealed both a concept previewing the next-generation Impreza as well as a compact SUV concept dubbed the Viziv, complete with autonomous driving functions.
