While the streets of London get roamed by all kinds of exotics, there’s just something about a rare sighting that makes us all warm and fuzzy inside.
Perhaps you recall the Hamann Mi5Sion since back in 2003, and you even called it “atrocious” in one of our polls from a few months ago. Bottom line, no introduction necessary and as it turns out, this isn’t a particularly well-liked car.
Fair enough, though it’s still OK if you’re smitten by the fact that there are probably a handful of these cars in the entire world, while stock BMW M5s are a dime a dozen.
Also, not to rain on the M5’s parade or anything, but this thing comes with a wide-body kit and every single custom bit you’ll find on it is made out of carbon fiber. By the way, there’s nothing to indicate that this car is packing any more power than the normal M5, but the owner could always get that ECU to better comply with his acceleration needs.
There is one detail that might not work to this particular car’s advantage, mainly the fact that the owner had the entire front grille painted black. It creates a much wider “grin” at the front and some people would much rather have the typical BMW look where the kidney grille is visibly separated from the headlights.
Another interesting tidbit is the design of the LED bulbs from the front spoiler. They form an L instead of the original horizontal strip that the Mi5Sion debuted back when it first came out.
Love it or hate it, here it is, beauty in the eye of the beholder and all.
