Do you miss the old chaps from the original Top Gear show? Sure you do, so here’s something to fill that emptiness. It’s James May’s review of the LaFerrari from the fifth episode of Top Gear’s Season 22 that aired on February 22 this year.
Captain Slow unleashed Maranello’s finest on the track and on public roads, with dynamic sequences and loud accelerations, while also revealing some technical specs on the hybrid-hypercar.
The good news is that we’re going to get two cars shows – possibly both next year, one from the classic former Top Gear trio on Amazon and another from Top Gear with a new lineup led by Chris Evans.
Recent reports indicate that Evans might be joined by motoring journalist Chris Harris and German racing driver Sabine Schmitz, with the new Top Gear show to air next May. For now, BBC will air a two-episode Christmas Special on December 26 and 30, with Hammond, Clarkson and May, using footage filmed over the past years.
In the meantime, the former Top Gear trio is working on its new car show with Amazon, which should debut sometime in 2016.
