As the Porsche Carrera GT is one of the most iconic supercars ever created, it’s of little surprise that so few tuning companies ever tried to improve it. Of the few that did, the most notable is certainly Gemballa with their Mirage GT. Restricted to just 25 units worldwide, production of the Mirage GT only recently concluded and now a red example is being offered for sale in Dubai.
This particular Gemballa Mirage GT is currently in stock at Exotic Cars Dubai from James Edition and while no price tag has been released, one can rest assured it is significantly higher than the original $448,000 price of the standard Carrera GT.
It isn’t known which number Mirage GT this is but we do know it is a 2005 Carrera GT and was taken to Gemballa for their extensive upgrade package by one very brave and enthusiastic owner. It is one of the brightest Mirage GT’s we’ve come across thanks to the red paint work, yellow brake calipers and the contrasting satin black five-spoke wheels. The exterior is also adorned in a number of carbon fibre parts, including the rear diffuser and the active component of the rear wing.
In the cabin, red alcantara is found across the seats, centre console, door panels, parts of the dashboard and elements of the steering wheel. Helping to make the interior all the more special are a number of gloss carbon fibre parts and black leather.
Beyond all the visual modifications, the Mirage GT package also lifts power from the race-derived V10 engine to 670 hp, up from the standard 558 hp.
Gemballa has previously confirmed it is turning its attention to the Porsche 918 Spyder so this could prove one of the very last Mirage GT’s offered for sale.
