Lincoln’s new Continental is on its way and now we get our best look yet at the flagship sedan thanks to these fresh images.

The 2017 Continental was purportedly captured on stage during a rehearsal for tomorrow’s official presentation at the Detroit Motor Show, with photos of the car’s exterior and interior being played on a screen in the background.

It’s a more sober interpretation of the Continental Concept we saw at last year’s New York Auto Show, without so much interior and exterior chrome detailing.

We’re still short on specifications, but it’s believed that the new Continental rides on an elongated version of the Ford Fusion’s CD4 platform offering both front- and all-wheel drive versions. Power should come from Lincoln’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, which on the updated MKZ, is rated for 350hp (356 PS) on the FWD model and t 400hp (406 PS) on the all-wheel drive variant.
