On the back of record sales last year, Abarth has become one of the top five fastest-growing car companies in the United Kingdom.
The company, best known for producing high-performance Fiat models, sold a total of 2,743 vehicles in the UK throughout 2015. Such a figure is an impressive 67 per cent increase against 2014’s result of 1,642 vehicles.
In December alone, Abarth managed to sell 177 cars, a 40.5 per cent boost over December 2014. Last month also marked the 23rd consecutive month of growth for the performance car brand.
According to brand manager of Abarth UK, Geery Southerington “We are once again delighted with the progress Abarth is making in the UK market. We spent the whole of 2015 building on Abarth’s success and had our best month ever in September when we sold more than 700 cars. We have also been increasing the number of Abarth dealers in the UK, which will further help us to improve the service we can offer to our growing number of customers.”
Abarth currently offers a range of modifications for the Fiat 500 but soon, will expand its offerings. As a matter of fact, the company is apparently working on a performance-focused variant of the larger 500X from Fiat and soon, will create a new version of the Fiat 124 Spider.
