Now that we know for a fact what the all-new E-Class looks like, it’s safe to say that imagining the AMG version wouldn’t be the most difficult task in the world.
This rendering is almost entirely what we’re expecting to see once Mercedes decides it’s time for us to admire their newest super-fast saloon, and even though it looks a lot like its two siblings, it does sort of come with its own personality once you thoroughly analyze its dimensions.
Since we’re on the topic of appearance, it’s also probably safe to say that the new E63 AMG is going to be the most elegant car in its class. The M5 is a little short on “fancy”, as for the CTS-V and the faster XF (which has yet to come out and play), they also come with sportier designs.
If you’re going to use the S-Class and to a certain extent the C-Class as an aesthetic benchmark, you’re probably going to impress some people with your elegant lines, and to some Mercedes-Benz customers, that is what it’s all about.
Of course performance-wise, the new E63 should be seriously capable of impressing everyone, not just your run of the mill Benz boys. It will likely use AMG’s latest 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 instead of the larger 5.5-liter one, and it will probably pack around 600 PS.
With the W213 E-Class set to premiere at the Detroit Auto Show on January 11, we probably won’t have to wait that much longer in order to at least see a couple of official images of the pure AMG version.
