A couple of months after the first Bentayga rolled off the assembly line, Bentley celebrated its market entry in Europe by bringing it to the Austrian Alps.
The SUV’s Alpine debut coincided with the Kitzbuhel ski-race and the automaker took advantage of the Austrian event as the Bentayga was on display at the foot of the Streif ski run, with Regional Director of Bentley Europe, Robert Engstler, keeping close.
“We had a very strong year 2015 with Bentley growing our sales by 10 per cent in Europe to a total of 1,695. We were able to commit significantly to the success of our company and engage our customers with Bentley vehicles“, said the firm’s exec.
Meanwhile, in several European countries, Bentley has sold all units of the Bentayga for this year. This is a huge success considering that the powerful SUV costs €208,500 in Germany and £160,200 in Britain, and that is before any options are added to it. In the U.S., the automaker offers the vehicle from $229,100.
No matter where the Bentayga arrives, the same 600hp 6.0-liter W12twin-turbo V8 engine is used in all units, for now at least, as a diesel is believed to join the lineup in the future, with approximately 430hp squeezed from the 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine used on the Audi RS5 TDI Competition Concept.
