Bentley Motorsports has just signed a deal with ABT Sportsline, which will see the German tuner and race team competing this year with a pair of Continental GT3s.
As part of this deal, ABT Sportsline will have works team support throughout the 2016 season.
The Continental GT3 will make its 2016 debut at the VLN1 race at the Nurburgring on April 2 and compete at all events of the ADAC GT Masters in Germany, the country’s national GT championship with the aid of C.Abt Racing, who won the championship in 2013 and 2014.
Bentley will be providing the team, which has already claimed a number of DTM championships and Formula E race wins, with the building blocks in order to make the best out of its effort.
Speaking of the collaboration, ABT Sportsline’s chief executive Hans-Jurgen Abt said: “We have a very long-standing and successful relationship with the Volkswagen Group brands and we’re pleased to have been able to extend this to Bentley for 2016. It is a luxury manufacturer that has proven the Continental GT3 on track and we are looking forward to working closely with them and developing our relationship.”
